Resources
There are gobs and gobs of resources available to help you understand and use your WordPress website. Some are good…some not so much.
Below is a list of resources I either use myself, have used with clients, or have checked out thoroughly.
These are resources I stand behind.
As with anything, I encourage you to do your own due diligence.
Best WordPress Hosting: Hostgator. Hands down.
Blog Training:
Become A Blogging Maniac – live and digital library versions. This is where I got my start with blogging.
Themes
iThemes – some of the easiest and best themes to work with anywhere. I have to say they are my favorites. I especially love the Builder Theme with its 60+ child themes to choose from.
Allure Themes – awesomely beautiful themes designed with the woman visitor in mind. Truly gorgeous!
Mojo Themes – some fun, easy to use themes.
Studio Press – some very beautiful and professional themes. These have a very polished look and are designed to pull content to the front page so that your front page is constantly changing.
Backup Options
BackupBuddy – the best solution for backing up, restoring, or even migrating your site to a new hosting company.
Shopping cart:
If you want to be able to sell products or services on your site you’ll need some sort of shopping cart system. To have a professional look, that also provides a database for autoresponders and email blasts:
1ShoppingCart
Membership Software:
Wishlist Member is a user-friendly plugin for WordPress. It turns your site into a membership site, with any number of membership levels and email/newsletter broadcast capabilities. This is what I use on my sites.
